June 05
Since our previous statement the Presidents & Vice Presidents of the
club had many meetings with MP’s, councillors and a representative of Wigan Sports Council.
It soon became evident that they all understood the need to
have a pool this side of the Borough and agreed to help us in this fight to keep TYLDELEY POOL open for the future of Tyldesley.
Any member that can offer their expertise in any way would
be welcome to come along to any of the meetings, or alternatively contact myself or any committee member. (These contacts are in a book on the desk in the foyer.)
All attempts will be made to contact ex members to put them
in the picture of the situation.
Atherton Swimming Club is now at Tyldesley Pool and train
on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
One of the ways we feel that could help, is that individual
letters be sent, highlighting the benefits of being associated with the Club and the standards set regarding discipline and
social awareness.
